Draft template. These terms were written as a starting point and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. The operator must review and adapt them (and fill in the operator details in Admin → Server) before offering the service to the public.

Terms of Service

Operator: [operator name - set in Admin → Server] · Contact: [contact email - set in Admin → Server]

1. The service

qbt2png turns the status of torrents in your own qBittorrent client into images and animated bundles that you can embed in forum posts. The service connects to the qBittorrent address you provide, reads status information (for example name, size, progress, seeders) and publishes the resulting images at public web addresses. It does not host, index, link to or transfer torrent files or the content they describe.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your login, for keeping your password secret, and for everything done with your account and API tokens. You must give accurate information and be entitled to use the qBittorrent client and tracker you connect.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to publish or promote content that is illegal, or that you have no right to share, including material that infringes copyright or other rights, child sexual abuse material, or content that incites violence or hatred. Images are public: anything that appears on a card (such as a torrent name) is visible to everyone who has the link, and you are solely responsible for what you choose to publish. You must not attack, overload or probe the service or other users, try to access other accounts, or point the service at systems you are not entitled to reach.

4. Reports and takedown

Anyone can report content through the abuse form. When we receive a valid notice, or otherwise become aware of illegal content, we may disable the affected image or bundle, contact the account holder and, for repeated or serious violations, suspend or delete the account, without prior notice where the law requires quick action.

5. Limits and availability

Accounts may be subject to limits set by the operator (for example number of images, refresh frequency). The service is provided "as is", without guarantees of availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and may change or stop at any time.

6. Termination

You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any time (see the privacy policy). The operator may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms. Public image addresses stop working when the content or account is deleted.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content published by users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of the operator's country of establishment [state it here], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
